Maria Grazia Chiuri's first collection for Christian Dior was entitled, "We should all be Feminist." According to Vogue Magazines article on the collection, Chiuri's goal was to infuse feminist sensibilities. The goal of the collection is lofty, but still pragmatic and down to earth. This ready-to-wear line is intended to be accessible for millennials.

This stunning 80 pieces collection challenged the status quo in every aspect. One aspect was the clothing choice for the first model of the show- Sasha Pivovarova. Pivovarova was once an art student, now a model. She wore a striped mariniere sweater with the phrase, "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artist," written out. Chiuri was interested in celebrating female artists in her collection.

This upcoming season is knowns as the "Season of Feminism." Chiuri did that exquisitely and brought up a subject in the Christian Dior collection that sends out a positive message that she truly believes in.
