The Relationship Between Fashion & Music Two art forms that will always go hand in hand Music and Fashion have always had an intertwined relationship that has clearly depicted the times. As a way of self expression, as a way of individualism, and of course as an art form the two have always bounced off of each other, and will continue. There was no specific time that the relationship had originated, it was always together. From the roaring 20's where Jazz music started off extremely scandalous with feminist undertones resulting in flapper fashion, short dresses, no bras, and loose clothing; to the hippie movement in the 60's with psychedelic music breaking out after the popularization of drugs and LSD shifting the fashion trends into more "trippy" clothing. Music and fashion always worked together in a symbiotic relationship to mirror the culture of each era.
