Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Report
Based off of Paris Vogue Magazine's Spring/Summer 2018 Trend Report, I will notify you of all that is to come in the coming season in this Blog Post.
Spring/ Summer 2018 Trends
1. Feather are back...
Nina Ricci, Saint Laurent, Proenza Schouler among other designers incorporated feathers into their designs. Proenza Schouler tied the feathers together with a grunge affected to give the traditional grunge style a new twist.
2. Silk...
Designers Hermes, Versace, and Celine all used the silk material with an extravagant pattern. Celine incorporated an artistic silk print on the look.
3. Florals...
Chloe, Y/Project, and Louis Vuitton all incorporated floral patterns in their outfits. Chloe used the florals to create a 70's mood. Louis Vuitton incorporated the popular "Athleisure," style and introduced "Louis XVI at the gym."
4. Sequence...
Marc Jacobs, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana all ventured out with their lines and tied in the usage of sequence. Dolce & Gabbana used the sequence on top of a floral pattern, all on a jumpsuit to create a brilliant ensemble.
4. Plaid...
Designers Miu Miu, Balenciaga, and Burberry all continued the plaid trend for this season. Each however creating a different mood. Miu Miu used the plaid to add a touch of preppy.
5. Plastic...
Valentino, Balmain, and Chanel all found a way to tie in plastic, and weather prof clothing into their designs. This realistic, and timeless look was tied together in a way that still made the outfit look fashion forward.
