1. Maintain your own sense of style

Remember, this isn't a costume. Maintain your own personal style, and take it to the next level. Incorporate your aesthetic, with a boho, rock and roll, or retro look.

2. Wear something comfortable

You don't want your outfit to get in the way of having a good time. Choose something more light, or easy to move around in.

3. Keep it real

Instead of going to a main stream retail store and trying to buy a "vintage" band tee shirt, go to a vintage shop, or thrift store to find pieces from the 70's, 80's, and 90's.

4. Forget the Flip Flops

Festivals are out doors...so that will involve sand, mud, grass, and dirt. You will get your feet dirty, or have drink spilled on them. It's best to avoid flip flops to save yourself the trouble, and the risk of it all.

5. Bring a coat

You honestly never know when you might need one. Just in case bring a leather jacket, denim jacket, or flannel in case it goes from boiling hot to freezing cold. Make it light to wear around your waist as an added accent if you end up not using it.

6. Less is better

If you have the flowers, the fringe, and the rings something should probably give. If you feel like its a little much, then it probably is.

7. Add some fringe

Adding some texture to a look would add some edginess to it. Don't over do it, but for example you could piece a fringed purse with maybe a 90's grunge look.

8. Make a statement

Sometimes going for a themed outfit, may look like you are trying to hard. You can always pick one statement piece, and stylize around it.

9. Don't forget to be unique

This is the time to get creative and think outside the box. Sometimes breaking the rules will work in your favor!

10. MAKE YOURSELF FEEL COMFORTABLE AND FABULOUS

Above all of these rules, the most important one would be to make sure you feel comfortable in what you are wearing. Be yourself, and make sure you feel fabulous. The only opinion that really matters is your own!
