Aerie's Latest Campaign Celebrates All Women

A brand showcasing "Girl Power, Body Positivity, and No Retouching."

Back in 2014 American Eagles lingerie, and intimate apparel brand, Aerie released a campaign known as #AerieREAL. This campaign was committed to stop retouching images to show case real authentic women. Ever since the campaign released their sales have gone up. Four years later the company has honored their commitment, but recently decided to take another step in the right direction. This latest photo shoot captured non-professional models of all body types, ages, and race. The company also featured women with crutches, in wheelchairs, with visible illness, body hair, insulin pumps, vitiligo, Down Syndrome, colostomy bags, hearing aids, surgery scars and more.

Known as "Aerie's Bras Make You Feel Real Good," Fashionista said, "the campaign's cast was culled from more than 2,000 people who shared videos explaining why they wanted to be apart of the next iteration of #AerieREAL on social media." This campaign eloquently celebrates real women, which is something not many brands can say they have. According to Jennifer Foyle, Aerie's Global Brand President, will continue to show real, authentic, un-retouched women. Women all over social media have been praising the brands inclusivity of underrepresented groups. Who knows, this may
start a revolution?
